After completing her studies at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2018, Lévana Schütz joined the artist-run-space in.plano as well as the collective of experimental filmmakers of Etna. Her work is essentially composed of analog films, photographies and sculptures which is brings into dialogue with this constant need to create a narrative. Film is to her a medium with a particular quality that implies a fundamentally concrete relationship with time. This material becomes an indispensable support to her artistic reflection.
From 2021, Lévana has been collaborating with Séverine Assouline and Adrien Elie for the curation of two group shows. At the same time, since 2022, she is writing two documentaries,
one of which is about Talchum Theater, On se souvient des pas - 춤의 발걸은들을 기억납니다, which she started the scouting shoots in October 2022.
At last, since 2019, Lévana has been leading process and shooting workshops in 16 mm and Super-8 at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, the Royal Academy of Art in Stockholm, and at the collaboratives labs Zébralab of Geneva and Etna at Montreuil.
